Wi-Fi and CBRS from one antenna platform
Some sites need Wi-Fi for one group of devices and private cellular for another. Apogee Converge provides a shared antenna platform for 5 GHz Wi-Fi and CBRS Band 48. Compatible Wi-Fi access points and cellular radios provide the two services, with Converge supporting their coverage.
Two networks in the same site plan
A ramp, yard or campus may have ordinary Wi-Fi devices alongside equipment that uses private LTE. Converge supports simultaneous use of the Wi-Fi and CBRS bands through dedicated RF connections. The networks keep their own radios and service requirements.
Apogee Manager configures the antenna’s supported band and polarization settings. Your integrator plans the cellular core, Wi-Fi service, backhaul and security. The financial comparison should include that complete installation and the work needed to maintain it.
Separate network services
Wi-Fi devices use a Wi-Fi access point. Cellular devices use a compatible CBRS radio and core. Converge supplies the shared antenna platform for their supported bands.
Coverage for both fleets
Map where each device group works before assigning radio connections and antenna panels. The configuration must serve those zones with the capacity the applications require.
One installation to assess
Compare antenna mounting, power, radio connections and maintenance as part of the full network design. Sharing an antenna platform does not mean the site needs only one cable.
one array, two networks
Inside Apogee Converge
Converge has four antenna panels and dedicated connections for each network: 4 dedicated CBRS ports and 4 dedicated Wi-Fi ports. The radio-to-panel allocation must match the coverage plan and supported MIMO configuration.

planning the investment
Count the work around each access point.
01
Cabling and power
Each access-point location may need a cable route and a power connection. Include that work when comparing the installation costs of two coverage designs.
02
Mounting and access
Poles, lifts and access to operating areas can add to installation costs. A design with fewer equipment locations may reduce that work.
03
Maintenance
Equipment needs attention over its service life. Compare licensing, replacement access and maintenance alongside the purchase price.
04
Coverage and capacity
Keep the required devices and users in the comparison. A lower equipment count is useful when the network still supports the work it was built for.

Questions about Apogee Converge
Which bands does Apogee Converge support?
Apogee Converge supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi and CBRS Band 48 through dedicated RF connections. Its product definition supports Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 on the supported Wi-Fi band. Confirm the selected radios and hardware configuration for the installation.
Can Converge serve Wi-Fi and CBRS at the same time?
Yes. The Converge product documentation describes simultaneous 5 GHz Wi-Fi and CBRS operation. Dedicated connections serve the two bands, with the panel allocation configured for the intended coverage and supported MIMO arrangement.
Does Converge include the private cellular network?
No. Converge is an antenna platform. Private cellular also needs compatible radios, a cellular core, backhaul and network configuration. Wi-Fi requires its own access points and services.
Does Converge support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi?
The Converge product definition used here specifies 5 GHz Wi-Fi and CBRS Band 48. For a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi requirement, compare Apogee 180, 180 MP or 360 and confirm the complete radio configuration.
Where has Converge been deployed?
The Paso Robles Municipal Airport testbed used Converge for Wi-Fi and CBRS. Its June 15, 2026 announcement reported full ramp coverage from a single node. That result refers to the ramp, while the listed airport applications were still under validation.
